The Daily Meal recently conducted a survey of pubs in the United States. This list contains 150 bars from 42 different states. Each bar is reviewed by a panel of experts based on four criteria.
For a bar to make the list, it has to offer something the average person will not get at a local bar. Luckily, there are plenty of them, from the most snazzy to the most obscure.
Among the bars on the list is the Horse Brass Pub, which has an extensive selection of British and imported beers. It also has a small, but impressive, food menu.
The list also includes the Monk’s Ale House, which has hundreds of beers on tap. Another pub that makes the list is the El Bait Shop, which offers a signature Chicken Pot Pie, as well as some of the best wings in the city.
Other notable entries include the Attaboy, which is a New York City legend with a long and storied history. It’s one of the best-known places to drink in the city, and they custom-tailor a cocktail to each customer’s tastes.
The Best Bar in America list is a mixture of old and new. While some of the more established dives are on it, a lot of the up-and-comers are making a splash in the beer and food worlds.
