Designed by the Four Seasons, this bar features a stunning art mural depicting Jakarta’s old Sunda Kelapa trading port, expert Four Seasons bartenders creating tantalizing libations, and exceptional single-malt whiskeys from around the world.
The thumping digitech lounge and the lively karaoke room at Golden Crown are favourites among local crowds making it an exciting bar to hang out. The drinks are reasonably priced too. However, the club is only open till 2 AM so don’t expect to stay longer than that.
Nestled in the soaring skyscrapers of Mega Kuningan since 2016, Loewy is one of the hottest bars in town. Its visually eye-catching interior – a combination of original Thonet chairs, leather banquet seats, subway beveled tiles and tin and copper ceiling panels – evokes a Parisian bistro meets New York loft in the 1940’s feel. Featuring tasty modern European and Asian food, as well as stiff cocktails, it is the ideal place to unwind after work or play.
Despite the infamous reputation of Indonesia as a den of sexual vice, the capital’s red-light scene is actually more subtle than most people think.
